General Goals and Objectives:
* The student will use and maintain high standards of grammatical proficiency in writing and speaking. Oral, written and writing competency in Spanish is a priority.
* The student will participate in and be exposed to a wide range of individual, paired and group activities to encourage maximum use of the Spanish language in the classroom.
*The students will be exposed to a variety of cultural activities and issues.
*The students will read, write, listen and speak in the Second Language. We will use a variety of learning styles such as active lessons, games, short readings, role-play, written work and individual and group projects.

Evaluation Scheme:
Assessments include competency in oral Spanish as well as reading, comprehension and writing in Spanish.
Formative: Class discussions, Warm-up activities, Rubrics (Performance descriptors), observation checklists, mini-projects, comprehension questions, writing assignments, etc.
Summative: Unit Tests and quizzes, Mini-Projects for each unit, Rubrics and attainment of communication functions for the unit.
